Glass and teaspoon

I have been asked what the picture was about. Here is my interpretation.

The teaspoon is "trapped" in the glass. But the alternative places for the spoon to be (in the front and in the back) lie in darkness. Note that the glass distorts what one sees through it but on the other hand this is the only way one can see anything that lies behind it.
The price there is to pay for beeing somewhere (here: in the sun) is the distorted wiew of things around you. Not that it is possible to avoid this. The title is to remind you that the glass (what surrounds you) is at least as important as the spoon (symbolising you).
Note that dark and light are very close to one another-only separated by a thin line. The dark is unsafe-there is a sewer in there somewhere.

The picture is just below the one showing you being hammy as a pigsty.
